@jpmens There's much truth to that, the only thing I regularly fire up an "actual" IDE for is automated refactoring, e.g. extract-interface, everything else is mostly tmux & vim. For PHP at least there was once a project that aimed to provide refactoring via cli, generating real patch-files for you to review and apply, extremely neat, but never went anywhere (https://github.com/QafooLabs/php-refactoring-browser). Would love to see that idea revived...
