[#]MidnightCommander just told me, that setting the #CDPATH environment variable might be a good way to save some keystrokes when using the cd command.

I'm inclined to agree with him.

@cgudrian I like that zsh allows you to drop the cd altogether.

@root42 I'm currently running #fishshell which does this, too. Combined with CDPATH containing ~ I can change to my downloads folder by just entering Downloads/ from anywhere. Caveat: no autocompletion (as opposed to using cd).
