@AimeeMaroux there is research on how Egyptian and West Asian artists didn't have a taboo against showing female pubes or female genitalia like Greek artists, Judith Weingarten has some blog posts https://judithweingarten.blogspot.com/2013/12/sex-play-in-ancient-canaan.html and an Iraqi scholar had some journal articles
