Problem is concentration of power. Greediness is probably s.th. that will take a couple of civilization collapses to breed out of homo sapiens, so some 10000s of years. If at all.

A good system must account for greediness (and rein it in).

Frankly, I don't think it really intersects with my concern controlling greediness, because the power of killing of enemies can pretty soon get out of control itself, so it's not really an antidote to power concentration and consequent unchecked greediness.

As principle it's unsustainable, though these days WRT shootings of predatory CEOs I tend to just point to Michael Moore's answer (here: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/dec/16/yes-i-condemn-michael-moore-responds-to-luigi-mangiones-manifesto)

"Just a government – two broken parties – enabling this INDUSTRY’s theft and, yes, murder.

“And now the press is calling me to ask, ‘Why are people angry, Mike? Do you condemn murder, Mike?’

“Yes, I condemn murder, and that’s why I condemn America’s broken, vile, rapacious, bloodthirsty, unethical, immoral health care industry …”

It didn't say I want death penalty, mind you. I only dislike murderers and I dislike the bigger murderers more.

That's a reasonable position, me thinks.
