@profdiggity @privacysafe will it get rate limited or banned by tiktok if it gets too much traffic?

It is not helping privacy much if i host it at home, except no cookies and trackers in my browser. IP based tracking is still done?

@jonas99g @privacysafe Depends how much you watch TikTok, but we tested pretty heavily and haven't had those issues.

The real challenge is discovering new videos without going to tiktok.com

I expect the current StickTock.com node will eventually get banned / rate limited. But we'll see. I'm advertising it to the world.

Yes, TikTok will know the IP of the server with the API backend on it. I would recommend deploying on a VPS somewhere and maybe shuffling a wireguard connection on that VPS.
