They are never going to admit it, but at some point in 2021-22, some very sensitive data from my credit union leaked, and now I have the pleasure of receiving countless fake fraud detection scams via telephone and SMS. The scammers have substantial data that makes falling for it very easy.

Stay frosty out there. Assume that all your information (account numbers, debit card numbers, SSN) are in the hands of fraud rings. Never answer any questions on inbound calls, but instead call the bank back on their main number.
