My mom is meeting with her Catholic bishop next week and they asked her to gather responses as to why people are stopping church attendance so they can “tweak their strategic vision”. I’m like, that right there is part of the reason I think church is BS. How to also convey the centuries of violence, oppression, and hypocrisy continuing even today? I mean, come on.

@DarkAthena That's the thing. They can read the New Testament as often as they want to, but if they ignore the history between then and now then they're faith is being exploited by a rich and powerful institution due to wilful ignorance.
