What a dick move from #Element #matrix

I get that it costs money to develop software and at that scale they need to secure funding to keep everything afloat.

But I host a small private Matrix server myself and it'd be really neat if I didn't have to burn CPU and RAM for no other reason than yet another greedy scumbag trying to use performance as leverage to strongarm "governments" into dishing out more money.

Maybe we shouldn't have left IRC.
