When Red Cross personnel go into Gaza to escort the hostages home, it will be the first time anyone from that organization has seen any of them, over 470 days since they were kidnapped.

I remember donating to ICRC shortly after 7 October, naively thinking that they were best placed to help civilians on both sides. How wrong I was.

@sonyablanck @louis i have seen the Magen David Adom from day 2 in the videos from the terror sites at the nova festival. And the palestinian red crescent delivered extensive reports on their activities in Gaza. I dunno why blaming the red cross now?

To be fair I didn't realise that MDA is affiliated with the ICRC so feel somewhat better about my donation. I'm just frustrated that none of the affiliated societies could even offer proof of life for the hostages, and this wasn't vociferously noted in the international community. We don't even know whether two literal toddlers have survived to this point, and won't know until the deal is implemented.
