radxa has a new itx arm board that advertises uefi support, but looks like they still have a separate bsp type of situation going on with the ‘upcoming support os’?

smells fishy. maybe their uefi implementation is quirky

@boo_ most of the time having a bsp linux means board-specific modified linux and u-boot and no effort to upstream the changes, not exactly great for a desktop platform (i think that’s what you’re asking?)

(i think the usage of the term bsp is okay? i’m not an embedded linux person)

@40whirl Me neither, I haven't encountered the term before, but it makes sense. Companies that make board-specific kernels without even trying to upstream can consider themselves my opps.
