So, American Express agreed to pay $230 million in penalties over deceptive practices it used to increase small business sign-ups! Not surprising at all for a credit card company. They're really not consumer friendly, but are necessary to complete many transactions in today's digital world. 🙍♀️

@gocu54 That's just it, Nick! Companies will always take advantage of the consumer and settle when they get caught. They wouldn't do this if deceptive practices didn't net them a profit. I'm sure this settlement to them is like a drop in the bucket.
