🌿 released a new version of lichen-markdown, 1.2.0, where you can run it locally directly via php

@notplants This is really cool! I'm loving it. Works great. Thanks for doing this work! I'm excited to show it to students and other folks.

FYI Found a bug (maybe!) or suggestion. Uploading images with spaces in the name causes it not to render, so maybe automatically convert spaces to hyphens or underscores?

I also have an another enhancement suggestion to add simple WYSIWIG buttons for the most common things headers, links, images, code, blockquote, lists. Would make it even more beginner-friendly.

But this is already fabulous. Nice job.

@notplants here's an example of how the wysiwyg buttons work in prose.io. Clicking them just injects the correct markdown text into the editor. Again, not required, but nice beginner-friendly tooling.

I fixed the images with spaces in the name bug today, will let you know when its merged. (I played around with trying to allow spaces in names, but eventually decided I liked your solution to just convert them to underscores)

I also like the idea of adding little wyiwyg buttons to the interface too, will see what @abekonge thinks
