Anyone got advice on choosing or finding a Pixelfed server? Are they generally paid services because it's more expensive to host lots of images? Not sure of the general culture or expectations.

@neuralreckoning For servers, I haven't personally tried but this post from @mastodonmigration might be useful:

As for cost, I think it's like most Mastodon servers, you don't have to pay anything but you can donate if willing and able.
