ok now Google is going to delete my Google Play developer account I had for the past 15 years because I haven't used it
time to make some bullshit app in the next 5 days? idk

I considered a few avenues for preventing them to close my account, here's the one trick I found
I have some LEDs, and in the process of linking them to Home Assistant I found the brand was just an OEM and I found the original company making them, and the process of making an OEM app myself is ridiculously easy
So I'm just gonna make a bullshit one, upload that to Google Play, and hope they're happy

Another avenue I considered is an app where the only feature is showing the color purple
that could as well be funny

Turns out they want me to upload my ID, too
The catch: the only ID I have is an expired health insurance card which is often not considered a valid ID and there's no photo on it for pandemic reasons, to boot
Québec really need to step up in the ID game, for real

oh yeah, they need to review my ID before I can publish or update an app, which can take a while
and it's Friday night
we're fucked

@yuki do this one. The home LED app thingy always looks easy until you actually do it. You just have 5 days, and you risk lacking time to make the app really functional.

@yuki I just had an idea: a soft flashlight: just the screen entirely white. People can use the light from the screen to see in the dark.

@yuki email google if you're desperate, they're usually pretty good with giving extensions
