the last time I watched this was about twenty years ago, so literally the only thing i remembered was the scene where yer wan asks her,

"when is your wedding?"

"September."

"Ah… Spring…!"

this movie is so gorgeous.

even in its lowest moments, it shines so very brightly.

anyway, how is there not any more Fan function of Muriel and Rhonda getting together as couple?

come to think of it, I'm pretty sure the main reason i watched this twenty years ago was because I thought it was a lesbian story.
