@Siph it's absolutely excellent, and generally not that dangerous. Pb-free makes sense for absolute mass produced items that will invariably end up in waste streams, but for one-off prototypes, repairs, mods etc, there is really no argument against Pb solder imo. It's more reliable (less dry joints), you are less likely to damage (and waste) a board, you can keep temperatures lower during soldering. It doesn’t form tin-whiskers so boards will work for longer (less waste).
