Trying to figure out how I want to use two different ActivityPub streams (well okay, four, but bookwyrm and my blog rss integration don't count). If I've got masto here and pixelfed there, and I have a selfie to post...

Posting the same image to both seems weird (even though that's what I used to do with Instagram).

Posting to just pixelfed is dissatisfying since I share pics here and want to continue doing that.

Posting to just masto defeats the purpose of having pixelfed.

Today I posted to pixelfed and then retooted on masto, which is fine for 'hey here's a selfie' purposes, but that won't be archived in my media tab on masto, for instance.

Hm. What's the purpose of getting it archived on Masto?

At a glance, posting to PixelFed and retooting seems pretty elegant (at least from the perspective of a follower viewing it).
