I'm playing Patapon and wondered if I could hack a very basic rythm measurement method in #pico8. Seems to be working! A square flashes every 20 frames and a circle is shown when user presses a key. If the key is pressed when the screen flashes, error is close to 0 (negative if soon, positive if late), larger the worse you perform.
This could certainly be the foundation of a small Patapon-like game!
