Do "normal" people send each other hearts when they are thankful for something?

I've received a reply from Ko-fi customer support today and it contained a heart emoji. I'd call them normal enough so I will continue doing it no matter what anyone thinks of it. :D

@karb ok so like. obviously not everywhere is the same but i saw at as you asking about like "cis straight male watching football" type crowds

using a heart is seen as "not masculine", which is Some Toxic Masculinity Bullshit

how they signal they mean something? obviously with masculine replies like "you're the man! thanks champ! 💪" or "nice one! 👍"

I mean, it is pretty much the kind of group I was talking about.

I just feel like a thumbs up isn't sincere enough. I'd use a thumb for stuff like "I got it 👍" or "can do 👍" whereas a heart would mean a lot more in the context of "Thank you so much 💛"
