Update: Found out that #Mobilizon is still maintained and that many of it's bugs have been killed. So I'll go with that: https://events.tchncs.de/@konzerte_leipzig
...
Does anyone know of a public #Gathio or #Gancio instance for #music events, (a.k.a. #concerts) in #Germany, #Saxony or even #Leipzig? :hacker_l: :hacker_e:
I'm planning a series of #folk concerts with a friend and I don't wanna use #Facebook (or #Mobilizon - too whacky) as event manager anymore.

I am finding the replies to your query informative!
How did the first month with Mobilzon work for you?
(I'm not seeing many English language servers, so it might not even be an option for my group that needs a libre replacement calendar.)

@BRicker I can't complain. Does what it should and probably even more. I created a group, an event, a discussion. What more can one ask of an event calendar? =)
Why is it important to you to use an English language server? Meseems you can switch the language of the interface/surface/whatever it's called.

@torstentorsten 👍thanks!
(English: I noted at least some of the servers don't want to have to moderate non-local language posts, which is fair enough.
And for discoverability, search more likely will find a Boston US user-group if it isn't served from e.g. an Italin-first server.
There is one mobilizon.us which is decently federated, will probbly give that a try.)
