I'm going to buy this. Easy to use, super small, fits in my backpack and the results are impressive.

I was imagining myself looking through a telescope and then just take pictures, like I would with my phone on a dark night, but that's not how things work I guess.

But I won't give up and buy one of these too at some point

https://youtu.be/ixtbnump-9I and upgrade my Canon camera later with a better lens. More difficult to set up, but has the potential to get better results with a better camera and lens.

The Seestar is impressive. A cute little gadget that can show you the night sky even as a total beginner.

Now I'm thinking about getting a S30 instead of the S50, because of the larger field of view. The resolution isn't good enough for planets, but I'm not too interested in planets anyway.

I have to do a bit more research before I place my order.

Btw I ordered a S30 in early November with a projected ship date in late December and haven’t heard a peep since. I think they are quite delayed.

Update: I talked to the Seestar tech support people, and they said the earliest I could expect my preordered s30 was early February.
