Wayland (the protocol) is really great, actually. I know there are other X vs. Wayland qualms people have about it but it's hard to argue that the API is nothing but a strict improvement over X11 atom spaghetti.

@mitchellh I tried once to do something with direct x11 and failed. Since then only use opinionated frameworks to abstract that pain away. 🫠

I like the event handling of pointer mapping in Wayland. Fairly simple and not needing to do arithmetic for where the pointer is on screen. 😅
