I found this Quake port done in JavaScript.

Okay, I spent the past week to:

• added proper client/server back in

• added dedicated server running in node.js

• fixed couple of Quake bugs

• fixed loooots of code smell

• fixed audio issues

• added streaming of sound resources (and more to come soon)

• make use of requestAnimationFrame

• started to rewrite core components to leverage modern JavaScript features

There’s a long list of ideas I’m gonna nerd on the next couple of months, I’ll release the source once it’s clean.

Just released https://quakeshack.chrisnew.de/ as well as its source code on GitHub. Right now it will drop you into a co-op shareware game, up to eight players are supported.
