Glad to see supermarkets around here having signposted quiet hours! (My Spanish isn’t good enough to evaluate how inclusive the language is though, it feels like it could be better?)

@gedankenstuecke it says "personas", which means "people". No genders.

@mdione ah sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant in terms of how to talk about autism not gender! I guess TEA is the equivalent to ASD in English. The English acronym is at least problematic for the medicalisation that comes with “disorder”, but I have no feeling how local autistic community would feel about TEA!

@gedankenstuecke right, "trastorno" is "disorder".

@mdione thanks! Do you know how “trastorno” is perceived? 😊

@gedankenstuecke I haven't been to Argentina for 15y (besides visiting family). Not really sure now. Back then in my region (you might have noticed how regional .ar is) "trastornado" was a mild insult, in the way that insults are a part of language. Take all this with a shovel of salt.

@mdione thanks, fair enough! And yeah, I’ve noticed the regional differences in language (and many other things!)
