fitting two whole instructions into the memory's width might be the only clever thing about the design. if i can figure out the control logic i can skip fetching instruction some of the time (half of the time when it's running straight line code)
and there would be a lot of straight line code. the individual instructions don't do much (but then i'll need more memory, but i can spend money out of this problem)
