When the new administration takes over, they will begin massive cutbacks and/or elimination of all government agencies, like FEMA, claiming that the private sector will do a better, more efficient job.
The insurance industry is the private sector, and they will fulfill that job with efficiency in California by no longer including coverage for homes from wild fires, nor in Florida from hurricanes.

@Wileymiller - and then those same corporations' other divisions will cheaply buy up burned-out residential plots en masse because the people who lived there can't afford to rebuild without insurance, and either build gated communities for the rich or shitty but vastly overpriced rental housing for regular people to barely afford working for their other, other divisions at cut-rate wages...
