Why is software created using taxpayer's money not released as Free Software?
Because the State's foundation and only reason it exists is solely based on an unfair and unequal balance of power between the people that live under that State's authority and them, they need control over people to exist, and proprietary software is the ultimate tool of control over the crowd, free software that has been funded with money that people never consented to give away is unethical.
cc @SuperDicq I think this is just a load of bullshit and nothing more than PR, and I don't think it'll ever achieve anything positive.

@SuperDicq
We want legislation requiring that publicly financed software developed for the public sector be made publicly available under a Free and Open Source Software licence.

@sally@freesoftwareextremist.com Yes, I definitely agree that they should stop using the term "open source" as well.
