Toot

Written by Brian Webster on 2025-01-12 at 03:38

So starting just the last month or two, an old version of my Mac app which has been available for download for users with older systems has started being flagged as having malware by macOS. I checksummed the file and it's literally the same file that's been available for like 7 years. I'm pretty damn sure there's no malware, so something must have changed in Apple's detection. Anyone ever dealt with something like this? Any way to get whitelisted somehow? Contact Apple DTS I guess?

@lapcatsoftware Interesting, thanks for the link. My first reports were back in December, so not sure this is the exact same issue, but possibly related? 🤷‍♂️
