So, once my new battle station is implemented, I've been thinking.

Considering how difficult it is getting for people like me to get a reasonable gig these days, maybe it's time I pivot and become something of a Youtuber.

(shudders.)

I'm serious though; as much as I hate saying things like "Smash that like button," I can't deny that the residual income ad revenue on my videos could make would be a huge help. I'm 50 years old and a deep embedded engineer; there's literally no market for people like me anymore.

But, I put it to you now. What could I do, video-wise? I figure I could perhaps document the development of VM/OS and, later, a physical computer on which its apps can run? Is this even remotely interesting? I can't imagine that it would be, since I just don't know how to make hacking on software enticing enough to warrent a Youtube series.

YES, I know of PeerTube. And I most likely would host videos there as well. But I am finding I definitely need some manner of residual income that is greater than $0 at this point.

Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks!

@alcinnz The thing with Coding Adventures is that each video is a completely different topic of interest. VM/OS is itself a long-term project; each video released would basically document its progress. Usagi Electric's videos seem to be a better analog here (h/t to @mos_8502 for the recommendation)

This isn't to say that I can't learn a thing or two from Coding Adventures. His video on Truetype font rendering is amazing!
