I had set up ad suppression on my home network. The very next day my wife and kids hold an intervention. When I play my games I can’t watch the ads and get the credits, and the top links on Google don’t work anymore.

It was a losing battle. Now only the smart devices and I are on the blocking system.

That totally sucks, I’m sorry. I will freely admit to being annoyed when I try to click a top link on Google and being black-holed. Still worth it.

They are paid results, but they are often not irrelevant especially if you’re looking to purchase something.

They’re not the best price or necessarily the best vendor, but more often than not they are indeed exactly what you’re looking for.

I only ever look for apps by name, and the top results are always different apps than what I typed in, so for me they’re completely irrelevant trash.

Ahh I can see that. I’m usually looking for a list of products by class, or a very worst a specific product. I’m going to end up buying it from Target Walmart or Amazon, so that top search result is 1/3 of my research out of the way.
