Impossible day
This time a question for which i don't have a solution. Does anyone know an algorithm or a publication?
Imagine this tree structures (AST) describes how the hue of a pixel is calculated. x and y are the coordinates of the pixel.
How can I interpolate between these 2 trees as smoothly as possible, with many intermediate steps (images)?
Not just the final results or the numerical values in individual nodes, but to transfer tree 1 into tree 2.

These images here are defined by arithmetic expressions. I would like to interpolate 2 trees in this domain.
What i could not solve at that time was to find a method to discover more interesting images between 2 interesting images. I wanted to interpolate the formulas and not just blend the bitmaps.
Maybe i could find effects when blending the bitmaps by training a neural network and interpolating in latent space. But NO new expressions.
