@BradRubenstein except for the closest relatives that I convinced to use signal, everybody else here uses Whatsapp exclusively. Truly a shame

@BradRubenstein yeah, here in Uruguay lots government entities (national and regional) implemented services over WhatsApp, sometimes, without an equivalent website to do the same thing, that's discounting that most phone companies here don't count whatsapp data against your data consumption 🤦‍♂️

It's going to be very hard in lots of places.

@j3j5 @BradRubenstein same in Colombia, I'd even say that almost all of South America has a strong dependency on WhatsApp.

It's not just "family connections", although many families use WhatsApp as well.
