Did you know? The Cincinnati Reds swept a series against both the L.A. Dodgers and the New York Yankees during the 2024 regular season. Now, I wouldn't have described the Reds as a contender per se, but they do have some above average skill sets that could easily have won them a division if their pitching had been more reliable. A work in progress you might say. At any rate, it goes to show that ANY MLB team can beat any other, and if one goes on a run... Journalists and media personalities tend to talk about the post-season in these terms, but they happen in the regular season all the time if one looks closely enough...
