Oh shit. New code just dropped in NVDA's github repo switching SAPI from using it's own audio output mechanism to using NVDA's built-in wave player. Haven't tested it yet, and probably won't get to for a long time, but hopefully this finally gives SAPI the performance boost it deserves.

@masonasons I haven't installed the latest alpha yet. In fact, I've avoided the recent ones. As I understand it, I believe existing add-ons like IBMTTS don't work yet.

@KaraLG84 @masonasons Yes. That's the same version that apparently nuked IBMTTS and other eloq drivers. At least that was the reported outcome. At this point, I've come to a place where I don't run Alphas until I've checked out potential reports. I end up skipping couple of versions.
