I still have very distinct memories of playing through DOOM II for the first time at my mother's job, and being stuck on Monster Condo for days.

My mother was a single parent. So she sometimes would bring me along to work. Often that meant that I would have 7 hours of access to a very nice 486. And let me tell you, I couldn't be happier at that time.

@dosnostalgic Mine are of playing the first DOOM late into the night with headphones, because my parents disapproved of the game and it was this only time I could play it. Really amped up the whole atmosphere of dread.
(This was on a 386DX40, which played it pretty well, but not nearly as good as a 486)

@dosnostalgic I played Space Quest 1 at my dad's job in like '87 or something. Remember playing the part with the grating and laser in a cave. Replayed SQ1 a few years ago and legit cried when I got to that part.

@dosnostalgic That reminds me of playing Wolfenstein 3D and Doom on a computer at my dad's work. Fun times.
