Well, looks like my life under the rock is too quiet!

I had no idea that GoC had set up a number that Canadians can forward suspicious SMS texts to ... 7726 on any mobile phone connected to Canadian mobile service. The forwarded message is used to prevent that message from going to other recipients. Apparently this has been running since 2021 at least.
