@sige Would you say it's about Internet being useful enough to not want to turn it on or off manually anymore (ignoring the cost of running a connection in the 56k days), or that smartphones have made us get used to push notifications that mean we essentially we are online all the time?

@sige I feel you. Focus modes on Android and iOS are somewhat too finicky to set up each time. But additionally for me it's also how many messengers are made with an app-first mindset, meaning that I can't access them fully from the desktop where I prefer to type from.

@Anijatsu there would be just very few individuals I would actually allow for instant notifications. So there would have to be some exceptions for notifications to actually come through any time. 🤔

@sige @Anijatsu I have my notifications turned off safe for a very select few people. I'm only active on Telegram when I'm actually in the mood for chatting.
Except that sort of kind of doesn't work 100%, because organising events and friendships means you have to reply in time sometimes.
But in general, it works kind of okay! Better than before.
