Let's be clear: fact-checking never worked and it was a bad idea in the first place. Fact checking never changes anyone's opinion, nor increase the quality of the discussion.

So said, the real problem is not being in control of the timeline algorithms. Using a social media nowadays is like volunteering to be brainwashed by its investors.

It was tolerable when it was advertising, it is not anymore acceptable because it became pushing down political opinions.
