@freeformz So we don't have to be an all-apple house in hardware, software, and creative vision.
For seven years we have integrated whatever product and solution fits our needs, in the manner which fits our preferences and routines - not limited by how some designer, probably very brilliantly, averaged out that we should want things to work.

@freeformz I also run both. There is a homekit plugin which bridges the devices and sensors in home assistant into the homekit ecosystem and vice-versa. As a result, I've been able to incorporate several non homekit compatible devices which improves the spousal acceptance factor!
