Hello, Fediverse,

I have forgotten how and whether or not I can follow any Bluesky account. Say @linguistlist.bsky.social for example. I am following @bsky.brid.gy already, but still won't get any search results for Linguistlist.

@elmerot You can only follow Bluesky users who follow https://bsky.app/profile/ap.brid.gy at Bluesky. There's talk about opening it for all Bluesky users, but that would be a big step.

If linguistlist were bridged, you would have found them at @linguistlist.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy. As that is not the case, they have not activated the bridge.

If you PM their Bluesky username to @bsky.brid.gy, Bridgy will attempt to send them a PM urging them to activate the bridge. This rarely works though.
