I'm seeing tons of folks saying that they can't delete their Meta accounts for reasons x, y, or z. But guess what? There is only a single reason and it's called the network effect.
If you make your living via one of those platforms, I totally get it. But if you're just keeping your Meta account open for convenience because "that's how I stay in touch" I don't consider that a valid reason. If one person leaves, that does nothing. If many leave, that's a called a start.

@benpocalypse in fact I can't delete my fb account even if I truly want to, in tunisia, the exclusively main used social media used is fb, some places use x or bluesky... but in tunisia it is very very hard to find someone that doesn't use fb, even ones that I know used twitter created accounts on fb eventually, plus, I have a page, on fedi & fb called @LinuxTUN and fb is truly the only way to contact roughly anyone, here, the page's 12 followers I doubt that they see messages at all
