Apparently #Inkscape had a #XMPP-based collaborative editing feature already in 2006

Funny how back then everything seemed to be running on #XMPP, I have fond memories of Qunu – it was a help chat integrated directly into (desktop) apps.

In a way it predated current chats (now with bots) on websites, where websites act as apps.

Qunu was just the other way around – (desktop) integrated chat in desktop app (or web chat).

Instead of (“app”-as-)website-as-app with integrated webchat.

@hook @linkmauve had made an Inkskape plugin for collaborative SVG creation, using XMPP's XEP-0284: Shared XML editing (https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0284.html).

I can't find the right repos unfortunately, but I've seen a neat demo a long time ago.

@hook @linkmauve there was an unmaintained similar feature in old version of Inkskape, but Link Mauve did a new implementation.
