Jesus fuck, Nvidia increased the power consumption of the 5090 from the already ridiculously power hungry 4090 by 125W. Stop buying this shit! You're enabling this brazen, computer-melting shit when you buy these! Even above the ridiculous cost of the cards already, this increases the TCO given how much it'll increase your power bill. 8 hours of gaming can consume an additional full kWh!

Also note that 125W is enough to noticeably raise the temperature of even a medium sized room. This can absolutely affect AC costs or just make the temps in your home miserably warm.

I REALLY hope someone like GamersNexus does a comparison of running the 3090, 4090 and 5090 at the same TGP cap. I know he's started doing W/fps (J/frame) but I'm not sure he's done that with the TGP capped yet.
