Honestly, this was just a dumb reply, but thinking of it more than 2s, I’m a bit proud.

I present you: clap-separated values:

C πŸ‘ S πŸ‘ V

(sry πŸ˜†)

but if… no, when we standardize it, I’ll advocate to make the trailing πŸ‘ mandatory.

CπŸ‘SπŸ‘VπŸ‘ just rolls better of the tongue

I really see a April 1 RFC in my future.

Toot

I see a lot of advantages compared to traditional CSV.

– πŸ‘ is more international

– When reading data out load, the πŸ‘ is basically out-of-band.

– Reading/presenting data is boring, saying "comma" or "semicolon" doesn’t really catch the audience while a πŸ‘ will do that.

– It’s been a proven method on social media and in pre-school.

For folks that are temporarily or permanently unable to πŸ‘, TSV, tongue-click-separated data, or TπŸ‘…SπŸ‘…VπŸ‘…, will be an officially approved alternative.
