My memories of #Jan6 I was planning to tune into CSPAN to follow the vote-counting process, but Sarah persuaded me to have a nap instead. I was awakened by a phone call from a friend who said, in a choked-up voice, “they’re storming the Capitol.” That got me to wide awake in a big hurry. I followed the goings-on of the day with trepidation and more than a little fear. For me it at least approached the magnitude of 9/11. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think an actual insurrection would ever happen here. Yet it did. And, for the past 4 years, we’ve been inundated by those who would attempt to whitewash the events of that terrible day. It infuriates me that, at least to a certain extent, they are succeeding. The person most responsible for #Jan6 was reelected. Whenever I think about that for too long, emotional darkness descends. As a country, we’ve lost our minds, and I see nothing but darkness ahead, though I suspect some will find entertainment in it all. All I can do is hold on tight and hope and pray for the best. #ResistTheRegime #Jan6Insurrection
