I bought these in Oxfam for cheap when I was a teenager. It's probably someone's heirloom. The left eye lens is jammed stuck but it still works.
Behold: The Tankienoculars.

Turns out the left eye lens is not jammed, it's just some kind of reference lens with which the other lens is adjusted. Probably for people with different levels of sightedness for different eyes? Or maybe so you can have one focal length for one eye, and another focal length for another eye?

@avesbury_rosetta the left lens is usually adjusted from that big wheel on the top

@Stoori
That seems to adjust both eyes equally

@avesbury_rosetta aha, a bit different solution than what i've seen in other binoculars.
but then the process is: first adjust both eyes, judge by left eye, and if right eye is unfocused, then adjust it separately

@Stoori
I've noticed that I don't really need to touch the right eye, the big wheel handles everything well? Maybe I'm just not noticing something...
