Time preference at it's most surface level, is your ability to be patient, wait or delay gratification etc.

High time preference means you're focused on the right now. Lower iq means generally an inability to be low time preference. Swarthy is an old word for dark complexion. (But doesn't necessarily mean brown. As it's a context and relative dependant word)
