I'll not be buying any Teenage Engineering musical instruments whilst they have a license that says they own any sample of their machines in your performances or videos if it's not overlayedwitj other sounds or had effects added.

@monkeyben It's unfortunate that this video was taken down completely.

It seems it was removed due to mistakes in reporting, but the details on the policy are still relevant to anyone making a decision to purchase from Teenage Engineering.

While this policy is in place, I wouldn't purchase from this company.

Oh that's weird. Is that from Teenage Engineering flagging the video?

It's a really bad policy. It only takes a drum intro to break it and it makes it hard to do even positive reviews of their gear.

@monkeyben I think the original video was likely taken down by the content creator after he learned that the source of the original copyright strike was not related to a “Bad Gear” demo of the product, but instead due to the same channel making a parody video.

It’s likely the parody would still be considered fair use, and Teenage Engineering is almost certainly acting in bad faith.
