I did yet another quick #passkey trial. And again nothing works, problems everywhere I look. Here's Chrome on a Samsung S23. I can tap "Sign in with passkey", then there's a spinning spinner on the button. And that's it.

This seems to be the relevant issue for on-device #passkeys.

I wanted to do some more experiments, so I tried signing up with another email address. (The plan was to try using Bitwarden even though that's not what I would prefer at this time). Here's the result on my tablet (S9+, Android, Firefox). Right after entering the address I get the very helpful message below... Sign up not possible. I wasn't asked to create a passkey at all!
