I finally did another video, with my brand new mic. Still not quite ironed out the audio creases yet, but I'm working on it. Just needed to get back out there rallying again. Feel free to comment on the below post if you have anything to add/say, be good to hear from you :) https://video.gamerstavern.online/videos/watch/6610b050-969e-471d-a4de-de1f2ccefee6

@harrybo The mic won’t hurt you, Harry, get up closer to that thing. You’ll be able to drop your gain down which will help with the unwanted ambient sounds and you won’t have to run such an aggressive noise gate. 🤙

@DoubleAA Good to know, I’ll try it out. I’m kind of already at the limit as to how far my mic arm will reach out before needing to be attached to the same surface as my rig :/

@DoubleAA @harrybo Agreed. Get that mic closer to you and turn the gain down. Mount it to the desk on your right if you need to and have it at an angle so your voice flows just past it rather than directly at it.
Personally, I like to process the mic before it gets to OBS because it means you can use it everywhere, not just OBS. Maybe look at software like RTX Voice/Broadcast or Sonar GG (both free). It'll add extra complications to your setup, but it'll make the mic sound much better.
